Real Madrid’s policy of loaning out players for development seems to be panning out well for the European champions. Of the several players rendering their services at other clubs, Brahim Diaz seems to be one that has caught his parent club’s attention.
According to reports from AS (h/t Madrid Xtra), Los Blancos are closely monitoring Diaz’s situation and development. They hope to bring back the youngster in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti views the attacking midfielder as a versatile player who would add dynamic flexibility to his tactics in the final third. In specific, he sees Diaz as a good option for the right wing where the team still do not have a guaranteed starter.
Rodrygo Goes, Marco Asensio, and Federico Valverde all continue to fight for the regular starting spot on the right, but none have convinced with consistency.
Diaz, meanwhile, has showcased during his time at AC Milan that he can be an option on the right flank. In addition to having a great passer of the ball, he has proven to be a direct threat to the opponent’s goal.
In just 16 games for the Italians, he has scored four goals and provided two assists. Meanwhile, he has created six big chances and averages 1.3 key passes per game.
Diaz’s current loan at Milan sees him at the club until June 2023. It has been reported that the Rossonerihave the option to make his transfer permanent for a fee of €22 million, although Real Madrid can re-sign him for €27 million.
The Serie A champions are planning to hold talks with Real Madrid over his future soon, although it seems like the Merengues will want to keep Diaz around at the Bernabeu for next season.
